Abstract

Denne beskrivelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte og et system for behandling av kjedeberegninger i regnearkapplikasjoner som anvender flere prosessorer, hver med en egen omberegningsmotor. Én enkelt beregningskjede kan bli omordnet til en samlet kjede der støtteformler og avhengige formler er organisert i et trehierarki av underordnede kjeder. Den samlede kjeden blir videre delt inn i avhengighetsnivåer, der elementer på hvert avhengighetsnivå kan bli flyttet til et neste avhengighetsnivå under omordning. Dersom et element innenfor et avhengighetsnivå er avhengig av et annet element som ikke befinner seg innenfor dets egen underordnede kjede, blir den samlede kjeden ordnet slik at et element kun er avhengig av et element i et foregående avhengighetsnivå. Videre lar avhengighetsnivåer en styretråd utføre styretråd-forbeholdte operasjoner samtidig som muligheten for flertrådet behandling opprettholdes.
