Abstract
Ultralyd for bruk i kjemiske reaksjoner genereres av en elektromagnet som er dannet av en ultralydtransduser hvis sentrale trekk er en løkke av magnetostriktivt materiale som er viklet med spoler som er orientert til å produsere en oscillerende magnetostriktiv kraft når en oscillerende spenning påføres. Oscillasjonene i transduserløkken overføres til et ultrasonisk horn som er nedsenket i et reaksjonsmedum, hvor de ultrasoniske vibrasjoner overføres direkte til reaksjonsblandingen.
