Abstract
Katodeelement (20) for utrustning av et kar (10) med elektrolysecelle (1) beregnet på aluminiumsproduksjon, omfattende en katodeblokk (5) av karbonholdig materiale med minst én lengderille (15) på en av sideflatene (21), minst én koblingsstang (6) av stål, som er lagt inn i nevnte rille, slik at en del av stangen stikker ut av minst én ende av blokken og er forankret i rillen ved at et ledende forankringsmateriale er lagt inn mellom stangen og blokken, og som omfatter minst ett metallinnlegg, der den elektriske ledningsevnen er over ledningsevnen til nevnte stål. I henhold til oppfinnelsen er innlegget (16) anordnet i lengderetningen inne i stangen og befinner seg i det minste delvis i seksjonen (19) av koblingsstangen beliggende utenfor badet, og koblingsstangen (6) er ikke forankret i katodeblokken (5) i et "ikke-forankringsfelt" (17) på en definert flate S, som befinner seg på enden av rillen (15) i blokkhodet. Et slikt innlegg bevirker samtidig en stor minskning av det samlede katode-spenningsfallet og strømtettheten ved blokkhodet.
