Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse tilveiebringer en stator (20) for en tubulær elektrisk generator eller motor som har en i alt vesentlig sylindrisk indre overflate (24) som inneholder en rekke av aksialt atskilte spor (26) for å motta spolene (28) i en statorvikling. Statoren er dannet av et flertall av stablede, ringformede lamineringer (40) som definerer sporene (26) og den indre overflaten (24). Lamineringene omfatter omkretsmessige atskilte radielle slisser (48) som definerer fingre (50) som strekker seg radielt utad fra sine radielt indre kanter (42). Slissene og fingrene reduserer de totale virvelstrømtap i statoren (20) samtidig som det tillates enkel fremstilling, enkel sammenstilling og høy radiell termisk leding for god avkjøling. I en alternativ utførelsesform kan lamineringen og deres fingre erstattes av lag av staver av lignende radiell utstrekning som lamineringene.
