Abstract
En fremgangsmåte er beskrevet for rensing av en cesiumforbindelse som innbefatter en ionisk urenhet omfattende: kalsium, sulfat, magnesium eller blandinger derav, omfattende: å la urenhetene som omfatter kalsium, sulfat, magnesium eller blandinger derav reagere i en løsning innbefattende oppløst opprinnelig cesiumforbindelse, med egnede utfellingsmidler, for å danne en uløselig utfelling innbefattende urenheten eller urenhetene. Foretrukne utfellingsmidler innbefatter bariumion for utfelling av sulfation-urenheter som bariumsulfat; hydroksylion for utfelling av magnesiumioniske urenheter som magnesiumhydroksid og for utfelling av kalsiumioniske urenheter som kalsiumhydroksid; og karbondioksid eller karbonation for utfelling av kalsiumioniske urenheter som kalsiumkarbonat. Det er også beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en forutbestemt cesiumforbindelse. Fremgangsmåten omfatter å behandle et cesiumholdig materiale med en egnet reagens for å oppløse minst en del av cesiumet som forefinnes i materialet og danne en oppslemming; å tilføre en base omfattende lesket kalk eller kalsiumkarbonat og, dersom det er nødvendig for å fremstille den ønskede cesiumforbindelse, en syre innbefattende anionet til den forutbestemte cesiumforbindelse, til oppslemmingen som omfatter et oppløste cesium; og å skille ut den forutbestemte cesiumforbindelse. Ved en utførelsesform av oppfinnelsen tilveiebringes en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en forutbestemt cesiumforbindelse fra en malm omfattende cesiumaluminosilikat, omfattende: å behandle en malm omfattende cesiumaluminosilikat med en syre for å danne en oppslemming og å oppløse minst en del av cesiumet som forefinnes i malmen; å tilføre en base omfattende lesket kalk eller kalsiumkarbonat og en mengde av en syre innbefattende anionet til den forutbestemte cesiumforbindelse til oppslemmingen som omfatter oppløst cesium; og å skille ut den forutbestemte cesiumforbindelse. Et borefluid eller tungt medium separasjonsfluid omfattende en renset cesium- forbindelse og med en spesifikk tetthet mellom 1,2 g/cm og 2,5 g/cm , med mindre enn 85 vekt% av den forutbestemte cesiumforbindelse basert på løsningen, er beskrevet.
