Abstract
Det beskrives en transformert plantecelle med endret metabolsk aktivitet sammenlignet med en tilsvarende utransformert plantecelle av villtype, kjennetegnet ved at den metabolske aktivitet er endret ved transformasjon med en SRP- (Sttess-Related Protein) kodende nukleinsyre og resulterer i økt toleranse og/eller motstandsdyktighet overfor miljøbetinget stress sammenlignet med en tilsvarende utransformert plantecelle av villtype. Det beskrives også transgene planter utviklet fra nevnte plantecelle og frø produsert av den transgene planten. Videre beskrives nukleinsyresekvenser som koder for proteiner som er assosiert med abiotisk stressrespons, samt vektorer og vertsceller omfattende slike nukleinsyresekvenser.
