Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse omhandler optiske kabelkomponenter produsert fra en ekstruderbar blanding av høykrystallisk polypropylen og en støtmodifiserende polymer for å tilveiebringe en bedret balanse bøyemodul, lzod kjernet verdi, smørefettresistans og egenskaper med lite krymping. Polypropylenen har en krystallinitet større enn vektprosent og en smelteflyt på fra omkring 1 til omkring 20 gram per 10 minutter ved 230 grader C. Ved 23 grader C gir sammensetningen en ekstrudant som har en 1-prosent sekantmodul på minst 1.600 MPa og en kjervet lzod på minst 35 J/rn. Sammensetningen gir også et ekstrudert rør som har en krymping på mindre enn 2,0 prosent etter 24 timer ved 100 grader C.
