Abstract

Naftahydroavsvovlingsselektivitet økes ved å redusere mengden COx (CO pluss C0) i hydroavsvovlingsreaksjonssonen til mindre enn 100 vekt-ppm. Mens dette er nyttig for ikke-selektiv hydroavsvovling, er det spesielt nyttig for selektiv avsvovling av en olefinholdig nafta uten oktantap grunnet olefinmetning ved hydrogenering. COx-reduksjonen oppnås ved å fjerne COx fra behandlingsgassen forut for å føre den inn i reaksjonssonen.
