Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for å anvende instrumentering for å få i stand variasjon i smøremiddelstrømnings- hastighet som respons til faktiske motortilstand. Oppfinnelsen sørger fortrinnsvis for en fremgangsmåte for overvåking av effektiviteten til smøreoljen i en totaktsmotor ved å måle innholdet av jern og drivstoffsvovel i smøremiddelet med XRF-teknologi og totalbasetall til smøremiddelet med en IR- måleanordning, samt for å effektivt endre smøremiddelet sine egenskaper eller strømningshastighet til utstyret som respons til det faktiske slitasje- eller korrosjonsbehovet til maskineriet eller motoren.
