Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse omhandler en metode for å bestemme rotasjonshastighet til en motor (1). Metoden involverer innsamling av sampler (x[n]) med en målesensor (2) ved en samplingsfrekvens (f), satt på basis av mekaniske vibrasjoner til motoren (1), for varigheten av måleperioden (T) og lagring av samplene (x[n]) i minnet til en databærer (4) som måledata med et fast format. Rotasjonshastigheten til motoren (1) blir bestemt fra måledataene ved å bestemme sykluslengde og periodiske vibrasjonssignaler i tidsdomenet ved hjelp av maksimum sannsynlighetsestimat beregnet ved maksimering av maksimum sannsynlighetsfunksjon (J) justert til måledataene, rotasjonshastigheten blir oppnådd fra frekvenspunktet (13f) hvor maksimum sannsynlighetsfunksjonen oppnår sin maksimumsverdi (13max).
