Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangsmåte og et apparat for å installere optiske fibere i kanalsystemer eller lignende rørformede føringer, og da fortrinnsvis for å installere optiske fibere i rørsystemer som befinner seg i boligrom i leilighetsblokker. Ved å benytte et undertrykk som virker fra en sentralt plassert sugeanordning koblet til kanalsystemet, er det mulig å dra en eller flere optiske fibere (19), eventuelt samtidig, ved hjelp av suging gjennom en kanal (13) i kanalsystemet for å lede nevnte fiber eller fibere til et sentralt plassert koblingspunkt som er felles for nevnte fibere. Håndteringen av den optiske fiber og matingen av fiberen inn i en respektiv kanal gjø-res lettere ved å plassere sugeanordningen sentralt i kanalsystemet og ved å plassere en trommel (20) rundt hvilken den optiske fiber er surret ved munningen (14) av kanalen, for dermed å gjøre det mulig at fiberen kan installeres av en enkelt operatør raskere enn det som ellers ville har vært tilfelle.
