Description

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte samt en anordning for sammensveising av plast- eller plastbelagte flater ved hjelp av laserstråleoppvarming.
Beholdere beregnet på flytende matvareprodukter såsom meieriprodukter, leskedrikker eller juice er vanligvis frem-stilt av termoplastbelagt papp, men kan også fremstilles helt av papp. Slike beholdere fremstilles av et plant emne som er utstyrt med bretteanvisninger i form av rillelinjer og som brettes sammen vanligvis til et rektangulært rørformet legeme som lukkes på egnet måte ved bunn og topp. Ved sammensetningen til et rørformet legeme blir ved bruken av kun et utgangsemne en flik sammenføyet med et sidekantområde på en sideflate hvorved det er av stor betydning at det herved oppnås en fullstendig tett forsegling. Den vanlige måte å foreta denne sammenføyning eller forsegling på er ved hjelp av lim-stoffer eller ved utøvelsen av varme som bevirker en sammen-smeltning av plastflåtene.
Denne teknikk er imidlertid vanskelig å gjennomføre hurtig og effektivt i en produksjonslinje hvis det samtidig skal være garantert en lekkasjefri søm. En vanskelighet som også opptrer i denne forbindelse er at begge de flater som skal bringes i kontakt med hverandre bør oppvarmes relativt jevnt og likt slik at man får en jevn sammenføyning. Da det herved også dreier seg om flater som ligger overfor hverandre kan det, for å oppnå den ønskede oppvarming være nødvendig å holde flaten i relativ stor avstand fra hverandre for å kunne utøve den nødvendige varmepåvirkning, hvorved det frem-kommer fare for at flatene igjen blir avkjølt på ukontrollert måte før de sammeføyes.
Hensikten med foreliggende oppfinnelse er å tilveiebringe en fremgangsmåte samt en anordning som muliggjør en sammensveisning av to plast- eller plastbelagte flater hvor disse ulemper unngås og hvormed det kan sikres en helt jevn oppvarming av de to ovenfor hverandre plasserte flater.
Denne hensikt oppnås ved bruk av en laser som oppvar-mingsinnretning og oppfinnelsen er kjennetegnet ved det som fremgår av kravene.
I europeisk patentsøknad 0147833 er det beskrevet bruken av laserstråler for smelting eller mykgjøring av to sidesøm-flater som skal sammensveises. Det er der beskrevet en innret-ning med hvilken laserstrålen splittes, slik at det med den samme stråle, samtidig kan oppvarmes to flateområder. Ved en annen utførelse er de to flater som skal sammensveises anbragt i vinkel i forhold til hverandre og laserstrålen bringes til å stråle inn i vinkelen hvorved flatene oppvarmes og mykgjøres slik at det kan oppnås en sammensmelting. Denne metode som er særlig egnet ved flater som inneholder en metall-folie i sin sammensetning vil føre til refleksjoner mellom de to skrått til hverandre stående sideflater, noe som vil føre til en ujevn oppvarming og usikkerhet med hensyn til sammenføyningens endelige tetthet. Ved oppfinnelsen er dette problem unngått ved bruken av refleksjonslegemet som vil sørge for at kun et nøyaktig definert flateområde vil bli oppvarmet hvorved også oppvarmingen av begge flater vil bli lik slik at det oppnås et best mulig resultat. Det kan derved også benyttes en lavere energi for laserstrålen. På samme måte som i den ovennevnte europeiske søknad benyttes en ufokusert laserstråle. Refleksjonslegemet anbringes i sømflåtenes lengderetning og disse føres inn med en flate på hver side av refleksjonslegemet og transporteres i lengderetningen over refleksjonslegemet hvoretter de presses sammen til en tett forbindelse etter forbipasseringen.
Ytterligere trekk ved oppfinnelsen vil fremgå av den følgende beskrivelse av et utførelseseksempel som rent skjema-tisk er vist på tegningen og viser i et sideriss prinsippet på laserstråleoppvarming via et refleksjonslegeme av to flater som skal sammensmeltes.
Tegningen viser i et enderiss et emne for en termoplastbelagt beholder som skal sammenføyes langs en sidekant. En slik fremstillingsprosess for en beholder er vanlig, kjent teknikk.
For å tilveiebringe sammensveisningen av sidekantområ-dene transporteres beholderemnet i den stilling som er vist på figuren i sideretning, dvs. på tvers av papirplanet inn over et refleksjonslegeme 12, idet beholderemnet 1 anbringes slik i forhold til refleksjonslegemet 12 at legemet 12 vil avgrense de to flater som skal sammensveises, dvs. det indre flateområde il på flaten 5 og sidesømfliken 6, som begge har en lengde som på figuren er betegnet med x. For oppvarming av disse flater stråles en laserstråle 13 inn mot refleksjonslegemet 12 som i det viste utførelseseksempel er et refleksjons-prisme som er symmetrisk anbragt, slik at laserstrålen reflek-teres likt til begge sider mot de to flater som skal sammensmeltes. Dette skjer kontinuerlig samtidig som emnet 1 transporteres videre i sideretningen. Ved riktig valg av laserstrå-lens intensitet i forhold til refleksjonsprismets 12 lengde, vil det oppnås en ønsket mykgjøring eller smelting av de to sideflater, som etter at de har forlatt området med reflek-sjonsprismet kan presses sammen på kjent måte og derved danne en jevn og god sammensmelting eller sammensveising.
På grunn av den sterke intensitet for laserstrålen vil den oppvarming skje meget hurtig, slik at sammensmeltnings-prosessen kan gjennomføres på en bearbeidelsesbane som frem-fører emnene 1 med relativt stor hastighet.
Det skal påpekes at refleksjonslegemet 12 ikke nødvendig-vis behøver å være et prisme, men at dette kan utformes på ønsket måte, idet det kun må tas hensyn til at oppnås en jevn fordeling av laserstrålen mot begge de flater som skal myk-gjøres. De nødvendige innstillinger vil lett kunne foretas av en fagmann på området.

Claims (4)

1. Fremgangsmåte for sammensveising av plast- eller plastbelagte flater ved hjelp av laserstråleoppvarming, særlig ved sammenføyning av sidesømmen på en beholder (1), karakterisert ved at det mellom de flateområder (6,11) som skal sammensmeltes anbringes et refleksjonslegeme (12) med flater som har en, til sammensmeltingsflåtene loddrett refleksjonsvinkel, at laserstrålen (13) slås på mens de flater (6,11) som skal sammensmeltes føres forbi i reflek-sjonslegemets (12) lengderetning og at flatene (6,11) presses sammen og smeltes sammen etter å ha forlatt området ved refleksjonslegemet (12).
2. Fremgangsmåte ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at flatene (6,11) som skal sammensveises, holdes i en spiss vinkel til hverandre mens de føres forbi refleksjonslegemet (12) og at refleksjonslegemet (12) og flatene (6,11) som skal sammensveises holdes slik i forhold til hverandre at refleksjonslegemet (12) vil avgrense det område som skal oppvarmes for sammensveising.
3. Anordning for sammensveising av plast- eller plastbelagte flater ved hjelp av laserstråleoppvarming, særlig for sammensmelting av den langsgående sidesøm for et emne (1) for et rørformet beholderlegeme, karakterisert ved en laserstrålesender, at det i senderens stråleområde er anordnet et refleksjonslegeme (12) og at det for beholderemnet (1) er anordnet en transport-innretning som holder emnet (1) med de to flater (6,11) som skal sammensveises på hver sin side av refleksjonslegemet (12), avgrenset av dettes endekanter og symmetrisk i forhold til refleksjonslegemet (12), og at transportøren er utformet for transport av emnet (1) på tvers av refleksjonslegemet (12).
4. Anordning ifølge krav 3, karakterisert ved at refleksjonslegemet (12) er et reflekterende prisme.
