Abstract

The unit is for cleaning a beer line running from the cask to a dispensing tap whereby the cask is connected (8) to a carbon dioxyde bottle. Near the connection to the cask, the line contains a change-over valve (4) comprising a closure member (29) capable of shutting off the beer supply. A further closure member (29, 31, 32) controls the water supply (7) to the dispensing line (30). A remove control simultaneously opens one and closes the other member or vice versa. Actuation may be by means of the carbon dioxyde pressure admitted through the gas supply line (8). The remote control may comprise a two-position water pressure switch to supply either at mains pressure or at a pressure equal to the beer dispensing pressure.
