Abstract

1496601 Beverage dispensing systems DISTILLERS CO (CARBON DIOXIDE) Ltd 2 Aug 1976 [20 Aug 1975] 34633/75 Heading A4T [Also in Division H1] A carbonated beverage, e.g. beer, dispensing system comprises a flow booster in the line 4 between a bulk storage container and the dispensing tap 1 and a flow operated switch 2 to actuate the booster. The booster is preferably a pump 3, e.g. a centrifugal or diaphragm pump, but may alternatively be a top pressure gas cylinder connected to the storage container by a valve controlled by the switch. The switch 2 is a reed switch with a plug 12 whose core 13 is magnetic. The contacts 17 of the switch are in parallel with a relay (R 1 ), Fig. 2 (not shown), whose contacts (20) are in series with a pump motor (21).
