Abstract

The vent is intended for applications on a vessel containing liquid such as a central heating radiator and has a housing (2) with inlet (11) and outlet (5) having a vent element (6) interposed between them, which only lets through air when dry, the element being secured by a pressure element (7). A closure member (12) is provided capable of closing the inlet when moved on to a seat (10) in the housing. The closure member may be integral with the pressure element. A resilient compressible ring or similar element may be interposed between the vent element and the closure member, or the vent element may itself consist of compressible material.
