Abstract
Electrical heating element is produced by coating the surface of a heat-resistant electrically non-conductive support with a mixt. of an organo-polysiloxane (silicone resin) (I), graphite powder (II), and an organic solvent esp. for (I), and heating the coated support to 250-450 degrees C, e.g. for 80-300 mins., after drying. In a pref. modification, coating mixt. also contains powdered electrical insulator, esp. SiO2, mica, and/or MgO. Coating compsn. pref. contains by wt. 100 pts. (I), 80-250 pts. (II), sufficient solvent and opt. insulator. Pref. support consists of asbestos, heat-proof glass, ceramic, and/or heat-resistant fibre-reinforced plastic.
