Abstract
Sampler for separating entrained particles from air or other gases by deposition on plates and subsequent testing, comprising a series of spaced, superimposed, perforated plates, arranged transversely in a vessel provided with air inlet and air outlet, the small perforations being designed to increase the initial air velocity to a jet velocity, and successive plates in the direction of flow having progressively smaller openings for increasing the jet speeds progressively from plate to plate and acting also as surfaces for the deposition of the entrained particles.
