Abstract

Apparatus for wind-up of a yarn supplied at a given speed, having a rotatable wind-up element and connected by an adjustable slip-coupling to a constant speed drive unit, incorporates a coupling consisting of two facing revolving coaxial surfaces, one of which is connected to the wind-up and the other to the drive unit, with a series of roll elements the surfaces of revolution of which each form a running surface, and adjustable devices for exerting a pressure on the two running surfaces via the roll elements.
