Abstract

A continuous length of paper is folded, stuck and cut into specific lengths. A narrow edge strip along a length of paper, wider than the bag being formed is folded upwards, and lengths which are ca. twice as long as the bag required are cut. A narrow strip of adhesive is applied to the top surface of the folded edge along half the length of the cut section off, which is then folded in two. The edge strips of the two halves are stuck together, resulting in W-shaped side folds, in the centre of which are the joints formed by the adhesive.
