Improvements in a multi-fastener tape for plastic bags, in which each of the fasteners can have a confining mouth for the bag and a narrow opening located on a longitudinal side edge thereof and communicating with said mouth to admit a neck of sack in the latter; characterized by a multiplicity of closures of a thin, transversely rigid material, such as polystyrene or the like, arranged consecutively in close proximity relationship, and ribs that connect integrally each pair of consecutive closures in certain frangible junction zones between opposite ends of said ribs and the proximal edges of said consecutive closures, wherein said areas are sufficiently separated in the longitudinal direction of the tape and have a cross section sufficiently reduced in dimensions in the direction transverse to said tape that the compressive forces that can be easily applied in the plane of said tape and from opposite directions respectively to said consecutive closures and through said closures to the opposite ends of said ribs without causing buckling in said closures, will cause the material of said tape to be simultaneously broken by said areas frangib connecting them to the opposite ends of said ribs, thus separating said ribs from said closures and said closures from one another.
