Abstract

A closure strip for a plastic bag made by folding over a sheet (1) and heat sealing both sides (4) is formed on the continuation of one side (2) which forms a flap (6). On the inner surface of this flap is deposited a layer of adhesive (7), in strip form transversely across the free end and positioned a short distance in. Two paper or plastic strips (8, 8a) border the adhesive and the whole is covered by a protective strip (9). Removing this strip (9) exposes the adhesive which is pressed down to seal the bag.
