Abstract
La presente invención se refiere al desarrollo de plantas de tabaco, modificadas mediante técnicas de mutagénesis, la hibridación interespecífica seguida de poliploidización y tecnologías del ADN recombinante, que se caracteriza por el hecho de ser capaz de producir una cantidad muy alta de semillas y su utilización para la producción de aceite para los ámbitos energéticos e industrial, tal como el aceite de combustión, biodiesel y aceite lubricante, y para la alimentación animal y humana.
