Abstract
"PLANTAS TENDO CARACTERìSTICAS MODIFICADAS DE CRESCIMENTO E MéTODO PARA FABRICAçãO DAS MESMAS". A presente invenção se refere a um método para modificação das características de crescimento de plantas através de modulação da expressão, em uma planta, de uma seqüência de ácido nucleico que codifica uma metalotioneína e/ou modulação da atividade, em uma planta, de uma metalotioneína. A invenção também se refere a plantas transgênicas tendo características modificadas de crescimento, plantas as quais têm expressão modulada de um ácido nucleico que codifica uma metalotioneína.
