Abstract

La presente invención se refiere al desarrollo de plantas de tabaco, modificadas mediante técnicas de mutagénesis, la hibridación interespecífica seguida de poliploidización y tecnologías del ADN recombinante, que se caracteriza por le hecho de ser capaz de producir una cantidad muy alta de semillas y su utilización para la producción de aceite para los ámbitos energético e industrial, tal como el aceite de combustión, biodiesel y aceite lubricante y para la alimenteción animal y humana.
