Abstract

A heater chip (2) and a heater chip unit (1) that can easily achieve an excellent heat generation efficiency regardless of increase or decrease of the plate thickness are provided. A heater chip (2) is a plate-shaped heater chip (2) which thermally press-fits a terminal lead wire to a terminal member, and comprises a trowel portion (6) including a trowel tip portion (13) to be in contact with the terminal lead wire while protruding downward from the trowel main body 11, and connecting arm portions (7) that are extended upward from left and right end portions of the trowel main body (11), and cause current from a power supply to flow into the trowel main body (11) to increase a temperature of the trowel portion (6), and the trowel main body (11) has a plate thickness which is set to be smaller than plate thicknesses of the connecting arm portions (7), and a cross-sectional area which is set to be smaller than cross-sectional areas of the connecting arm portions (7).
