Abstract
Steam utilizing equipment ( 100) includes : a medium pressure steam header SMH that receives and supplies medium pressure steam; a low pressure steam header SLH that receives and supplies low pressure steam; a plurality of process units (10) to which the medium pressure steam header SMH and the low pressure steam header SLH are connected ; and a low pressure steam compressing unit ( 30) that produces medium pressure steam by increasing the pressure of low pressure steam supplied from the low pressure steam header SLH and supplies the same to the medium pressure steam header SMH . The low pressure steam produced in each process unit (10) is recovered into the low pressure steam header SLH . The low pressure steam recovered into the low pressure steam header SLH , the pressure of which has been increased to that of medium pressure steam by the low pressure steam compressing unit ( 30), is supplied to each process unit (10) via the medium pressure steam header SMH .
