Abstract

VISUAL WORKPIECE INSPECTION APPARATUS AND VISUAL WORKPIECE INSPECTION METHOD To provide a visual workpiece inspection apparatus that positions a workpiece accurately on a conveying table without causing electrostatic damage/destruction and charateristics deterioration to the workpiece. The visual workpiece inspection apparatus 30 includes a linear feeder 1 that conveys workpieces W of a hexahedral shape, a conveying table 2 that receives and conveys the hexahedral workpieces W transferred from the linear feeder 1, transferring and aligning means 21 that transfers the workpieces W from the linear feeder 1 to the conveying table 2 and aligns each transferred workpiece W thereupon, charging means 6A that electrically charges a lower surface of the conveying table 2 and holds the workpiece W, and imaging means 20 that images six faces of the workpiece W. The transferring and aligning means 21 includes a non-vibrating section 4 positioned between the linear feeder 1 and the conveying table 2, and an aligning guide 7 that aligns the workpiece W. The aligning guide 7 includes a guide plane 7a having a rectilinear shape when viewed from a plane. Vacuum suction means 17, 18 is provided that draws inward by vacuum suction a clearance ү lying between the conveying table 2 and the aligning guide 7.
