Abstract

[PROBLEM] TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIVE FOR FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING CATALYST, WHICH IS CAPABLE OF INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF HEAVY OIL FRACTION CRACKING AND SUPPRESSING AN INCREASE IN THE YIELD OF COKE. [MEANS FOR RESOLUTION] AN ADDITIVE FOR FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING CATALYST OBTAINABLE BY SPRAY-DRYING A MIXED SLURRY INCLUDING A BINDER AND ALUMINA-SILICA. THE ADDITIVE HAS A SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA OF 100 TO 400 M2/G AND A TOTAL SOLID ACID AMOUNT OF 0.10 MMOL/G OR MORE AND LESS THAN 0.50 MMOL/G. IT IS PREFERABLE THAT THE PROPORTION OF STRONG ACID BASED ON THE TOTAL SOLID ACID AMOUNT IS 20% OR LESS. FURTHER, IT IS PREFERABLE THAT THE PROPORTION OF ALUMINA-SILICA IN THE MIXED SLURRY IS 20 MASS% OR MORE AND LESS THAN 80 MASS%. IN ADDITION, IT IS PREFERABLE THAT THE ALUMINA-SILICA HAS A SILICA CONTENT OF MORE THAN 0 MASS% AND LESS THAN 10 MASS%.
