A SCREW DRIVE MECHANISM COMPRISING A STATIONARY BODY, A MOVABLE BODY, A SCREW, A NUT SEAT, AN ECCENTRIC CAM, A ONE- WAY PAWL DEVICE, SAID SCREW DRIVES SAID CAM TO ROTATE BY THE ONE- WAY PAWL DEVICE TO CAUSE A VERTICAL RELATIVE MOVEMENT BETWEEN SAID SCREW AND SAID NUT SEAT SO THAT THE THREADS OF SAID SCREW ENGAGE WITH OR DISENGAGE FROM THE THREADS OF SAID NUT SEAT, ON DISEANGAGEMENT OF THE THREADS, THE MOVABLE BODY CAN SLIDE FAST ALONG THE GUIDE TRACK; ON ENGAGEMENT OF THE THREADS, THE SCREW MAY ROTATE TO CLAMP A WORKPIECE.(FIG. 2)
