Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un proceso para la preparacion de la forma I polimorfica farmaceuticamente pura de olanzapina, que comprende la cristalizacion de olanzapina de una solucion en cloruro de metileno en la cual, antes de la cristalizacion, dicha solucion de olanzapina en cloruro de metileno es tratada con gel silica, preferiblemente a temperatura reflujo. Tambien la forma revelada de olanzapina substancialmente libre de impureza. S, asi como un proceso para eliminar la impureza S de la forma polimorfica I de olanzapina.
