Abstract

Se describe un proceso para aumentar el rendimiento de uno o ambos subproductos HCN y acetonitrilo producidos durante la manufactura de acrilonitrilo que comprende la introduccion de un hidrocarburo seleccionado del grupo que consiste de propileno y propano, una mezcla que comprende uno o mas alcoholes seleccionados del metanol crudo, etanol crudo o propanol crudo, amoniaco y aire dentro de una zona de reaccion que contiene un catalizador de amoxidacion, la reaccion del hidrocarburo, el alcohol, amoniaco y oxigeno sobre ese catalizador a una temperatura elevada para producir acrilonitrilo, cianuro de hidrogeno y acetonitrilo, y la recuperacion de acrilonitrilo, cianuro de hidrogeno y acetonitrilo del reactor.
