Abstract

Un aparato para tratar aire comprimido de una tuberia de fuente de aire comprimido de estacion de ferrocarril conduciendolo de un compresor de aire central a las salidas en ubicaciones remotas en una estacion de ferrocarril antes de cargar las lineas de frenos aire de los trenes con aire comprimido de la tuberia para prevenir que contaminantes tales como humedad, aceite atomizado arrastrado y/o particulas como herrumbre entren en la linea de los frenos de aire del tren. El aparato incluye una linea de aire (12), un conector de entrada de aire (14) en un extremo de la linea de aire, un conector de salida (16) en el otro extremo de la linea de aire y al menos un dispositivo separador (20, 30, 40) interpuesto en la linea de aire entre los conectores de entrada y de salida para separar los contaminantes de una corriente de aire comprimido que pasa a traves del aparato. Tambien se describe un aparato de prueba para probar aire comprimido por contaminacion de aceite y un metodo para prevenir la contaminacion de una linea de frenos de aire de un tren con contaminantes de una tuberia de fuente de aire comprimido de estacion de ferrocarrl usado para cargar las lineas de frenos de aire de trenes en ubicaciones remotas en una estacion de ferrocarril con aire desde un sistema de compresor central.
