Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un catalizador que comprende 0.1-10% molar de Co3-xMxO4, en donde M es Fe o Al y x= 0-2, en un soporte de oxido de cerio para descomposicion de N2O en gases que contienen NO. El catalizador puede contener tambien 0.01-2% en peso de ZrO. La invencion comprende tambien un metodo para realizar un proceso que comprende formacion de N2O. El gas que contiene N O se pone en contacto con un catalizador que comprende 0.1-10 molar de CO3-xMxO4en donde M es Fe o Al y x= 0-2, es un soporte de oxido de cerio; a 250-100C(C. El metodo puede comprender que se oxide amoniaco en presencia de un catalizador de oxidacion y que la mezcla de gas asi formada se ponga en contacto con el catalizador que comprende el componente de cabalto en soporte de oxido de cerio a una temperatura de 500-1000(C.
