Abstract
Una modalidad preferida de un stent provee una seccion de puntal plegada que provee rigidez estructural y reduccion en acortamiento del mecanismo del stent; una seccion flexible provee flexibilidad para suministro del mecanismo del stent; en una segunda modalidad, estan en angulo columnas de seccion flexible con respecto una a otra, y al eje longitudinal del stent; estas secciones relativamente flexibles estan en fase de manera opuesta con el fin de negar cualquier torsion a lo largo de su longitud; en otra modalidad, el conector flexible puede tomar una forma que se ondula (como una "N"), pero de tal manera que el eje longitudinal del conector no esta paralelo con el eje longitudinal del stent; finalmente, se describe un nuevo metodo para elaborar los stents; el metodo consiste en realizar un procedimiento de formacion a maquina fotoquimico estandar de corte, limpieza y recubrimiento del tubo con un fotorresistor; sin embargo, a diferencia de los metodos anteriores, la imagen de fotorresistor se desarrolla sobre la superficie del tubo metalico cilindrico, lo cual resulta en una velocidad de grabado variable controlada en sitios seleccionados sobre el tubo metalico cilindrico durante el procedimiento de grabado; las modalidades adicionales proveen conectores de articulacion viva y conexiones a lo largo de la longitud del miembro de puntal radial.
