Abstract

Se describe un proceso para descomponer un hidroperoxido para formar un producto de descomposicion que contiene un alcohol y una cetona correspondientes, en el cual el hidroperoxido es puesto en contacto con un catalizador acido solido produciendo calcinando una fuente de un oxido de metal del grupo IVB con una fuente de un oxianion de un metal del grupo VIB a una temperatura de al menos 400°C. En particular, se describe un proceso para descomponer hidroperoxido de cumeno para producir fenol y acetona.
