Abstract
Se divulga una herramienta rotatoria (10) conectable mecánicamente con elárbol de una máquina herramienta para rotacion a alta velocidad. La herramienta comprende un cuerpo (12) y un disco (14). El disco (14) tiene unido a su periferia externa insertos de corte (20). Estos insertos de corte (20) pueden ser unidos directamente a rebajos en el disco o a asientos (22) que forman protuberancias en el disco (14). Si los insertos están unidos asientos (22), entonces el disco (14) tendrá adicionalmente asientos de contrapeso opuestos (24) formando protuberancias en el disco (14) en una direccion opuesta. Una banda (32) de material de alta tenacidad se extiende alrededor del disco (14) para restringir la expansion radial. Adicionalmente, el disco (14) puede comprender un material restrictor para restringir cualquier parte de disco que pudiera separarse del cuerpo del disco.
