Abstract

Se describen métodos para mejorar la produccion de vacunas virales en cultivos celulares animales. Estos métodos dependen de la manipulacion de los niveles celulares de ciertas actividades antivirales inducidas por interferon, en particular, los niveles celulares de cinasa que dependen de ARN de doble cadena (dsARN) (PKR) y sintetasa de 2'-5'oligoadenilato (sintetasa 2-5A). En los cultivos celulares deficientes para PKR o sintetasa 2-5A, el rendimiento viral se mejora en varios ordenes de magnitud sobre los cultivos celulares con niveles normales de estas proteínas haciendo a estos cultivos celulares utiles para la produccion de vacunas virales.
