Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un sistema que hace posible remover líquidos indeseables, por lo general una fase acuosa, que se precipita a la parte inferior de tanques para almacenar productos líquidos. Se hace uso de un dispositivo (30) de desagüe que comprende un cuerpo (31) concavo, un asiento (26) y un flotador (8) de zona interfacial que tiene una porcion (25) de obturador. Este flotador (8) de zona interfacial está diseñado para hundirse en el producto y para flotar sobre la fase acuosa. A medida que el nivel de la fase acuosa cae, la porcion (25) de obturador se asienta sellablemente sobre el asiento (26), interrumpiendo la operacion de desagüe ya que toda la fase acuosa acumulada ya ha sido desaguada. El sistema de desagüe puede ser automático o manual. En primer caso, se hace uso de un detector (12) para detectar la presencia de una fase acuosa y ordenar el proceso de apertura de la válvula (11) de cierre y permitir el desagüe de la fase acuosa acumulada. En el caso manual, un operador verifica periodicamente la presencia de una fase acuosa dentro del tanque (1) de almacenamiento, a través de la puerta (28) para inspeccionar el nivel. Si tal fase se acumulara, éste abre una válvula (29) de cierre manual para permitir que toda la fase acuosa acumulada sea desaguada.
