Abstract
Materiales de hoja de conformidad con la presente invencion comprende un substrato de material de hoja, tal como, por ejemplo, una hoja de papel o película, con un revestimiento de base de polímero que cubre y se adhiere a una superficie del substrato de material de hoja; el revestimiento de base comprende un polímero entrelazado curado con radiacion derivado de por lo menos una composicion de prepolímero de acrilato depositado al vapor que tiene un peso molecular en la escala de alrededor de 150 a 600; una capa de metal se deposita en y cubre una superficie del revestimiento de base, y un revestimiento superior de polímero cubre y se adhiere a una superficie de la capa de metal; el revestimiento superior comprende un polímero entrelazado curado con radiacion derivado de una composicion de prepolímero de acrilato depositado al vapor que tiene una relacion de su peso molecular a su numero de grupos acrilato (PM/Ac) en la escala de alrededor de 150 a 600; de conformidad con una modalidad de la invencion, se producen materiales de hoja de papel metalizado con características superiores de apariencia y funcionamiento que pueden hacerse a la medida para aplicaciones de uso final específicas; por ejemplo, el papel metalizado puede producirse con una apariencia de superficie con mucho brillo y/o una capa metalizada de alta calidad libre de defectos o agujeros, y/o una superficie externa que es muy receptora a impresion.
