Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un lente intraocular blando que consiste de un copolímero formado de un monomero de (met)acrilato de perfluorooctiletiloxipropileno, un monomero de (met)acrilato de 2-feniletilo, un monomero de (met)acrilato de alquilo y un monomero de reticulacion como componentes esenciales. El lente intraocular blando recupera su forma original para autoestabilizarse en un período de tiempo apropiado, por ejemplo, aproximadamente 20 - 60 segundos, sin que permanezca doblado o se autoadhiera en su porcion optica cuando se doble hasta un tamaño pequeño, se inserte en el ojo mientras que es manteniendo en un estado doblado o plegado y luego se libere de la fuera de pliegue o doblez.
