Abstract

Método para la remocion anaerobica de un compuesto de azufre de agua residual que contiene el compuesto, este método comprende las etapas de: 1) Alimentar el agua residual a un sistema de digestion anaerobico; 2) convertir el compuesto de azufre en el sistema de digestion a un sulfuro; 3) circular un efluente que contiene el sulfuro el sistema de digestion en un canal de paso, este canal comprende un sistema purgador para separar el sulfuro del efluente; 4) remover el sulfuro del efluente mediante contacto con un gas transportador en el sistema purgador; y 5) convertir el sulfuro a azufre, en donde: 6) el sulfuro es absorbido del gas de transporte en un sistema absorbedor mediante un líquido absorbente, el cual líquido absorbente es pasado en un circuito cerrado a través del sistema absorbedor y un sistema regenerador y comprende un licor redox regenerable, el cual licor redox tiene un valor del pH en la escala de 4 a 7 y de preferencia de 6.5 aproximadamente.
