Abstract

Material electroactivado que comprende fibras de las cuales al menos una parte es electroconductiva, un enlazante, caracterizado en que además comprenden un agente electrocatilítico que consiste en artículos de oxido de rutenio, platino, paladio, iridio o mezclas de éstos, o de uno o una pluralidad de dichos oxidos, distribuidos por lo menos en parte en un soporte electroconductivo. El material electroactivado es particularmente usado como un elemento cátodo de una celda de electrolisis y en particular, una celda para la electrolisis de soluciones acuosas de cloruro de sodio. La presente invencion también describe un material compuesto que comprende (a) un material de alta porosidad, (b) el material electroactivado antes mencionado. Finalmente, la invencion se refiere a un material compuesto que comprende de una fase a la otra; (a) una superficie de metal de alta porosidad, (b) el material electroactivado antes mencionado, (c) un separador.
