Abstract
Un aparato de inyección a alta presión 2 para la adición de una formulación líquida en un flujo fundido comprende una primera bomba la cual es arreglada para dosificar exactamente la formulación líquida (que incluye formulaciones altamente cargadas que comprende sólidos que comprenden partículas de tamaño relativamente grande) y una segunda bomba la cual refuerza la presión de la formulación a la del flujo fundido al cual va a ser inyectada. En una modalidad, el aparato incluye un tanque 4 para recibir inicialmente la formulación líquida. El tanque es sometido a temperatura y presión ambiente y no necesita ser revuelto o agitado de otro modo. El tanque es arreglado para distribuir la formulación vía el tubo 6 hacia una primera bomba 8 (la cual puede ser una bomba de diafragma o una bomba de cavidad progresiva). La bomba es arreglada para trabajar a una presión de hasta 120 bares para reforzar la presión. Corriente abajo de la bomba 8, es arreglado un tubo 10 para distribuir la formulación de la bomba 8 hacia una bomba de engrane 12, accionada por un motor 13. La bomba de engrane actúa para dosificar la formulación líquida. En una modalidad alternativa, el aparato puede incluir una bomba de cavidad progresiva para dosificar la formulación y una bomba de engrane para incrementar la presión. El aparato puede ser usado para inyectar una formulación de fluido a una material polimérico fundido.
