Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para modular la infestación de plagas en una planta que comprende aplicar a la planta y/o sus semillas y/o sustrato usado para hacer crecer dicha planta una composición que comprende: (a) un caldo de células enteras, sobrenadante, filtrado, extracto o fracción celular de fermentación de la cepa H491 de Bacillus megaterium (No. de acceso a NRRL B-50769); y (b) por lo menos uno de un transportador, diluyente, tensioactivo, o adyuvante; en una cantidad eficaz para modular dicha infestación de plagas, en la que el caldo de células enteras, el sobrenadante, el filtrado, el extracto o la fracción celular de la fermentación de la cepa H491 de Bacillus megaterium ( No. de acceso a NRRL B-50769) comprende ácido 4-fenibutanoicco.
