Abstract
La invención proporciona electrodos adecuados para su uso como electrodos de aire, procesos para su preparación y celdas de metal/aire que utilizan dichos electrodos como cátodos de aire. La invención se refiere a un electrodo que comprende una capa activa catalíticamente aplicada sobre una cara de una película hidrofóbica porosa y un colector de corriente conductor prensado sobre dicha cara activa catalíticamente, en donde por lo menos una parte del área marginal de dicha cara no tiene catalizador, y en donde se proporciona un sellador alrededor de por lo menos parte del perímetro de dicha capa activa catalíticamente, dicho sellador forma un recubrimiento sobre el área marginal sin catalizador de dicha película hidrofóbica.
