Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con un proceso para la producción de éter dimetílico (DME) a partir de gas de síntesis (SG), en el que por lo menos una corriente de alimentación (2) formada del gas de síntesis (SG) se somete a por lo menos una etapa de síntesis (A), en la que los componentes presentes en la corriente de alimentación (2) se convierten por lo menos en parte a éter dimetílico (DME), en donde se obtiene por lo menos una corriente de producto crudo (3) que contiene por lo menos éter dimetílico (DME) y los componentes sin reaccionar de la corriente de alimentación (2). La corriente de alimentación (2) contiene por lo menos hidrógeno, monóxido de carbono y dióxido de carbono, y tiene un número estequiométrico de 2.0 a 5.0. La corriente de alimentación (2) además contiene 4 a 20 por ciento en mol de dióxido de carbono y la relación del dióxido de carbono a monóxido de carbono en la corriente de alimentación (2) está en un intervalo de 0.5 a 4. Por lo menos una etapa de síntesis (A) se lleva a cabo bajo condiciones isotérmicas. Asimismo, un sistema para la producción de éter dimetílico (DME) a partir del gas de síntesis (SG) es un asunto relacionado de la presente invención.
