Abstract
El método y sistema reivindicados desarrolla un perfil de vida útil para un componente de un dispositivo de control de procesos, como una válvula, y utiliza dicho perfil de duración para determinar una duración restante proyectada para el componente del dispositivo en el funcionamiento. El perfil de duración se desarrolla usando datos operativos del mundo real de dispositivos de control de procesos similares, usados básicamente en las mismas condiciones operativas que se experimentarán durante el funcionamiento. Se pueden desarrollar perfiles para varios componentes de dispositivos, a partir del cual se desarrolla un perfil de duración proyectada para todo el dispositivo de control de procesos. En función de la duración restante proyectada, se pueden enviar alertas de notificación a computadoras remotas y se puede lograr automáticamente la programación del mantenimiento.
