Abstract

Se describe un método para mejorar la recuperación de petróleo de un depósito o yacimiento. El método tiene los pasos de a) introducir un flujo de fluido en el depósito o yacimiento y b) extraer el petróleo a través del pozo en una ubicación diferente al punto de introducción del flujo de fluido en el depósito o yacimiento. El flujo de fluido tiene agua y una cantidad de uno o más agentes surfactantes viscoelásticos poliméricos suficientes para proporcionar una tensión superficial interfacial de aproximadamente 1mNm o menor y una viscosidad de aproximadamente 100 cPs o más. Uno o más surfactantes se selecciona a partir del grupo del uno o más surfactantes catiónicos, uno o más surfactantes zwitteriónicos, uno o más surfactantes anfóteros, uno o más surfactantes aniónicos y combinaciones de éstos.
