Abstract
La invención se refiere al uso de un aceite de silicona tratado con plasma como un revestimiento en un dispositivo de inyección médico que comprende un barril y un obturador en acoplamiento de deslizamiento con el barril, para limitar el número de partículas presentes en la superficie del revestimiento y para limitar el número de partículas liberadas en una composición farmacéutica contenida en el dispositivo de inyección. La invención también se refiere a un dispositivo de inyección médico que tiene: un barril que tiene una superficie interna; un obturador en acoplamiento de deslizamiento con el barril; y una composición farmacéutica dentro del dispositivo de inyección médica y en contacto con la superficie interna del barril, la superficie interna del barril comprende un revestimiento de aceite de silicona tratado con plasma en contacto con la composición, en donde el tratamiento de plasma de aceite de silicona reduce el número de partículas presentes en la superficie del revestimiento y el número de partículas liberadas en la composición farmacéutica contenida en el dispositivo de inyección médica comparado con el aceite de silicona que no es tratado con plasma. La invención además se refiere a un método para tratar un dispositivo de inyección médica, el dispositivo comprende un barril que tiene una superficie interna revestida, un obturador en acoplamiento de deslizamiento con el barril, y a un método para reducir el número de partículas presentes en una superficie de un revestimiento o un número de partículas liberadas en una composición farmacéutica contenida en dicho dispositivo de inyección médico.
