Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para fabricar un refuerzo de textil con mejores características de adhesión de las capas que es de valor particular para reforzar correas sinfín, en donde al menos dos capas del material textil están incrustadas en el refuerzo de textil, dicho proceso consiste en: 1) impregnar un material textil con un agente aglomerante en un plastisol para formar un material textil recubierto, 2) aplicar una capa de plastisol entre dos o más capas del textil recubierto creando con ello una carcasa de la correa, 3) alimentar en forma continua la carcasa de la correa en una doble prensa de correa que comprime los materiales textiles impregnados junto con la(s) capa(s) de plastisol a una presión de al menos 5 psi (34,500 Pa) para producir una carcasa de textil preformada mientras: 4) calentar la carcasa de textil preformada a una temperatura que esté dentro del intervalo de 360°F (182°C) a 450°F (232°C) durante un periodo de al menos 6 minutos, y 5) retirar en forma continua de la prensa la carcasa de textil.
